I tend to agree with your friend. My advice for what it's worth is spend some quiet time every now and then so you can hear what God may be saying and continue to forge ahead!

In the end, the old adage applies – “No guts, no glory.” Forge ahead and grab the brass ring! We're pulling for you!

When you are going it by yourself – you bring enough doubt and criticism to the table. Just “post a sign” that only positive comments/input is accepted!

If you haven't read Blink by Malcom Gladwell, his chapter on thin slicing is right up your alley, go with your gut. BTW, all of Gladwell's book are worth a read, especially if you in marketing.
